Cookie Policy
This page explains how AskGWINnett uses cookies and similar storage on your device.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device so it can remember information between visits. AskGWINnett mainly uses browser local storage rather than cookies for app preferences.
Essential / functional storage
We use on-device storage that is needed for the product to work as intended:
askgwinnett.sessions— your saved chats so conversations can continue after a refresh (local storage).askgwinnett.lang— language preference (English / Español / 한국어 / Tiếng Việt) (local storage).
Deleting a chat in the app removes its stored messages. Clearing site data in your browser removes all of the above.
Hosting and security
Our hosting providers (such as Vercel for the website and the API host for chat) may set strictly necessary cookies or similar technology for security, load balancing, or bot protection. Those are controlled by the provider, not used by us for advertising.
Analytics and advertising
We do not use marketing or advertising cookies. We do not load third-party ad trackers.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and page views. It is cookieless: it sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not identify or track individual visitors. Because it uses no cookies or personal identifiers, no consent banner is required.
Location
When you ask for places “near me,” the browser may request geolocation permission. Coordinates are sent with that chat request so we can search nearby results. They are not stored as a cookie or used for ads.
How to control cookies and storage
You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you clear local storage, chat history and language preference will reset. See also our Privacy Policy.
